Feeding the Fish präsentiert 'Flux' - ein atemberaubendes Spektakel inszenierter Farben, eine Verschmelzung meisterhafter Jonglierkunst mit Tanz und modernster Technologie. Dieses völlig einzigartige Duett wurde bisher in 27 Ländern der ganzen Welt aufgeführt.
Wunderschöne Lichtmuster schwirren in der beeindruckenden Bühnenshow durch die Luft, Bälle und Keulen verändern ihre Farben und bewegen sich in perfekter Übereinstimmung mit dem Rhythmus der Musik. Die Requisiten sind genau so programmiert, dass eine phantastische Variation farbenfroher Formen und Laserstrahlen entsteht, wenn sie von den vollendeten Jongleuren bewegt werden.
Die Aufführung eignet sich für Unternehmensfeiern, Festivals, Produkteinführungen, Privatveranstaltungen, Gala-Abende und Varietétheater und in angepasster Form auch für Nachtclubs.

Technologie
Haben schon jemals einen orangeroten Lichtschweif gesehen, die von einem tiefrot erleuchteten Ring umgeben ist? Oder elektrisierende blaue Streifen, die smaragdgrüne Lichtstrahlen projizieren? Die visuellen Effekte der Elektronik von Feeding the Fish wurden als 'Hochgenuss' beschrieben. Neben dem Jonglieren selbst nimmt die Technologie eine zentrale Rolle in der Aufführung ein.
Seit 2001 haben wir unsere eigene Technologie entwickelt und realisiert. Gegenwärtig versorgen die Stromkreise im Inneren unserer Keulen ein intelligentes 6-Kanal-Farbmischmodul und einen millisekundengenauen Sequenzer. Die roten, grünen und blauen LED's sind nicht nur die hellsten, die es gibt, unsere Keulen enthalten außerdem 42 Leuchten, die reiche und lebendige Farben hervorbringen. Das in jeder Keule in dem Hochleistungs-Mikrosteuergerät ablaufende Programm ermöglicht die Kodierung von komplexen visuellen Mustern.
Die neueste Entwicklung sind unsere im Winter 2005 eingeführten Laserlichtstäbe, die mittlerweile routinemäßig beim Jonglieren mit Keulen in den Choreographien in Flux eingesetzt werden. Diese, noch aus 3,6 Kilometer Entfernung sichtbaren Laser sind die hellsten und stärksten Lichter, die sicher und legal auf der Bühne Verwendung finden können. Der grüne Laser wird von einem Mikrochip in seinem Inneren gesteuert. Damit werden Muster aus Punkten, Streifen und Scheiben erzeugt. Diese Effekte bilden zusammen mit den Farben und LED-Effekten in den Stäben selbst eine genauestens mit der Musik abgestimmte Sequenz.
Unsere Requisiten wurden speziell für Flux entworfen. Wir sind also nicht auf die handelsübliche Ausstattung angewiesen, sondern können die besten (hellsten, schnellsten und am besten sichtbaren) Elemente einsetzen. Neue Entwicklungen in der LED-Technologie integrieren wir, sobald sie erhältlich sind. Wer, so wie wir, eine Idee für ein künstlerisches Projekt hat, der kann auch die Technologie entwickeln, um seine Vorstellungen zu realisieren - davon sind wir fest überzeugt. Die allerersten Requisiten mit allen Spektralfarben waren unsere sensationellen Poi aus dem Jahr 2001 - etwas Vergleichbares gab es bis dahin noch nicht zu sehen.
Zwangsläufig drängte sich die Entwicklung von Keulen auf, die ähnliche visuelle Effekte erzeugen. Eine beachtliche Herausforderung stellte das Design dieser Keulen dar, die schließlich zu Sylvester 2004 einsatzbereit waren. Eine Entwicklung, die sich gelohnt hat, wie das Publikum im Salle du Canton in Monaco mit eigenen Augen bestätigen konnte - sie sahen einfach phantastisch aus! Mit diesen Keulen haben wir das zu jener Zeit fortschrittlichste elektronische Jonglierzubehör der Welt geschaffen: Mehr als 16 Millionen miteinander kombinierbare und im Rhythmus der Musik tanzende Farben können jederzeit über den Computer für die eigene Aufführung angepasst werden.
Angetrieben von einer tiefen Begeisterung dafür, mit neuesten Technologien schöne visuelle Effekte zu erzeugen, arbeiten wir stets an neuen Projekten, mit dem Ziel sie in unsere Aufführungen zu integrieren.

The Emotions de Rue festival ended the week with an undeniable success...
At 21h30 as night started to fall, Alix and Simon, the two young English artistes of Feeding the Fish appeared on stage mixing juggling, technology and magic. Using illuminated clubs and balls, the two jugglers, who certainly don't lack originality or imagination, immediately transported the audience to their fantastic universe, full of poetry, for a highly colourful performance.
In the twilight of the town square, the living lights of the balls and clubs formed astonishing arabesques in the air. Each pattern quickly developing into the next. The two artistes (who were as readily dancers as acrobats) alternated between juggling solo, each using up to five clubs - or with four hands, displaying an incomparable dexterity. There was no dead moment in this perfectly executed performance that was set to an exciting musical soundtrack.
The finale showed them both juggling with one standing atop the shoulders of the other. A trick presented with such apparent ease that it was slightly disconcerting.
The two artistes couldn't fail to charm the public and the 20 minutes of this sparkling performance, full of fantasy, was in the general opinion, too short...

One must go with the times. Juggling cannot stay the same. But to those who know it, it has always looked quite similar. Then along come the highly electronic and very modern "Feeding the Fish." The British act, formed in 1996, use brightly illuminated and programmable juggling balls and clubs in their show "Flux". Red, blue and green radiate, changing again and again as Simon Mylius and Alix Wilding spin the colours through the night air. Here is juggling performance without all the circus tradition. This concept works elegantly and coolly, alongside the futuristic electronic music.
Spinning quickly, the clubs become refractive lenses, and the balls like giant fireflies, flying through the air. Despite the many technical aids, the performance of "Feeding the Fish" is not cold... behind all the electronics, humans are at work.
Overall, whilst the duo themselves perform increasingly impressive tricks, the juggling does not come across as soulless: Perfect but poetic patterns - the performers throw the clubs to make a neverending firework display.
