TransPennine Express #wherenext Campaign

This month the train company TransPennine Express called on Feeding the Fish to support the digital leg of their #wherenext campaign. The campaign saw the Transpennine Express team head to the English cities on their train routes, and interview residents to find out what they thought were the most exciting prospects for their city. The most popular responses – from Culture in Hull, to Inspiration in Glasgow – were then spelled out in lights against the backdrop of the cities’ most recognisable landmarks.

We used our in-house built Pixel-Poi® technology to spell the city’s word in an expressive, hand-writing style; a visual choice that reflected the real voices that the campaign featured.

The resulting images were then distributed on TransPennine Express’ social media outlets, asking users if they could spot their city. You can see more images on TPE’s Facebook and Twitter.
