Juggling workshops online

During lockdown, the world-renowned, Southwark-based juggling company Feeding the Fish are offering online juggling workshops over a 2-week course. Whether it’s a birthday gift, or a fun activity to cut through the boredom of lockdown, our online juggling course is built for adults and children aged 7+, to suit you. We are also offering private online workshop courses too. Our qualified circus trainers will ensure both adults and children share in the fun and learn new tricks to perform at home.

 

Course structure:

Week 1: 45 minutes – Make your own juggling balls and learn the basics of juggling 1 and 2 balls

Week 2: 45 minutes – Learn to juggle with 3 balls and learn to balance household objects (safely!)

 

Prices:

£35 per computer screen, with up to 3 participants

£150 for private course, 15 people maximum

 

Equipment:

We will send a list of simple household ingredients for making the juggling balls, which you’ll need to gather together before the first workshop. If you have any trouble providing everything then just let us know as we may be able to arrange delivery!

Online for schools

During lockdown 2021, we are offering online circus workshops for school groups. Via video call, our qualified teachers can tailor your workshop to specific key stages in the curriculum. These workshops are structured with the aim of boosting self-esteem and confidence, challenging fear of failure and creating a space where children at all levels of educational needs participate on equal terms, improving emotional wellbeing and reducing stress. 

 

Course structure:

Either 2 or 4 week courses available – each session is 45 minutes:

Week 3: Circus skills workshop

Week 4: Dance workshop

Our line-up includes qualified primary school teachers as well tutors from the National Centre for Circus Arts. All staff have full Equity membership, Public Liability insurance and Enhanced DBS. In addition we can teach selected workshops in English, French, German and Portuguese.

In-person workshops

Once it’s safe to do so, we’ll be offering COVID-safe juggling, circus and dance workshops at our studio in Southwark, London, or alternatively, at your school. Our urban circus and juggling workshops are designed to equip all participants, whatever age, with new and impressive skills to take home and perform.

 

Bringing together more than 20 years of experience in juggling, street dance, circus shows and poi spinning, our workshops are led by a dedicated team of professional dancers and circus performers.
