This winter Feeding the Fish were delighted to take part in a fantastic Italian television show that helped raise money for Operazione Pane, a non-profit organization aimed at guaranteeing a meal, every day, to all the people of Bologna and the surrounding area affected by the 2016 earthquake.
Now in it’s 59th year, Zecchino d’Oro is a children’s talent show featuring 12 incredible young stars, presented by Francesca Fialdini and Giovanni Caccamo. For one special episode, Feeding the Fish performed Kaleidoscope. LED lights embedded within batons are spun in the air, creating an incredible display of colour and movement. The highlight of the performance was of course the finale, where the “Zecchino d’Oro” logo was displayed in the air.
The Zecchino d’Oro Christmas Special was aired on Christmas Eve across Italian televion on Rai 1 – where Feeding the Fish performed again, this time presenting their unique LED Hoverboard act Zoom. The dancers’ Pixel Video Suits were specially programmed with festive graphics of elves, snowflakes and Santa. The biggest cheer from the studio audience came as the 4 dancers in choreographed hoverboard formation displayed BUON NATALE in sparkling festive colours.
